This 4th of July – Let Freedom Ring!

The Lions Club 4th of July Parade is once again underway! This year the Lions Club will also be hosting the greatly enjoyed Kids Parade. The theme for both parades is “Let Freedom Ring” and we encourage and welcome entrants of all kinds.

The main parade kicks off at 11:00 am and will proceed from 7th & Main St. to Milwaukee St. and turn north to Trailside. Check in is from 9:30 to 10:45 am at 5th & Aber Streets. If interested in participating in the parade, please use the entrant registration  form provided below  or contact parade chairman Scott Gunderson at 414-581-3157. While early entry is encouraged, entries will be accepted right up to the start of the parade. As in the past, all entrants that wish to be judged will be eligible to win a cash prize

The Kids Parade takes off at 10:30 am from Milwaukee St. & Main St., proceeding north to Fox Mead Crossing. Registration forms can currently be obtained by contacting parade chairman Scott Gunderson at 414-581-3157 and will be available here shortly. Decorate your bike, wagon, trike, or yourself in patriotic fashion and have a good time! Winners will receive ice cream and gift certificates from Uncle Harry’s Frozen Custard.

And as usual - Duck Pins will be sold along the parade route by Lions Club of Waterford members. You can also contact us through our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/LionsOfWaterford  and a Lion will work with you on your Duck Pin purchase. Proceeds from the Great Duck Pin Raffle help pay for the parade expenses so that the Lions Club can continue to provide you with this great event each year. Proceeds are also returned to the community through donation to our local food banks. And – as you know – the Great Duck Pin Raffle provides many great CASH prizes to the winners!

The Waterford Lions Club would also like to thank our sponsors and looks forward to celebrating the 4th of July with everyone in Waterford!
